Lapsang Souchong, also known as Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong, is the oldest black tea in the world. The non-smoky Lapsang Souchong tea doesn't have a pinewood smoky aroma. Dried tea is stout and with a special honey sweet aroma, bright red color tea soup, with a charming fruity floral scent, tastes mellow and brisky, obviously sweet tastes, smooth, lasts long. Many people drink black tea for alertness and energy. There is good scientific evidence to show this works. Black tea contains caffeine. It also contains a little bit of a stimulating substance called theophylline. Both can speed up your heart rate and make you feel more alert.
